karneval review

In this anime Nai searches for someone important to him, with only an abandoned bracelet as a clue. Gareki steals and pick-pockets to get by from day to day. The two meet in a strange mansion where they are set-up, and soon become wanted criminals by military security operatives. When Nai and Gareki find themselves desperate in a hopeless predicament, they encounter none other than the country’s most powerful defence organization—”Circus”!!

the anime follows Nai and Gareki as they travel around with circus and search for Karoku, the anime had good animation and had some good action scenes aswell but it was not anything spectacular and never really had me hooked so i would only rate this anime at 63/100.

Sword art online review

 

This anime was about thousands of people logging into a virtual reality game called sword art online but once they had logged in they soon found out that they could not log out and if they died in the game they would also die in the real world.The only way to escape the virtual reality is to clear all 100 floors of the game.

This anime has a great storyline and follows the main character called kirito as he meets various kinds of people in the game and they battle to clear all the floors. There is very good action scenes in sword art online and the animation is very good aswell but its not all action there is also a lot of romance in this anime as kirito and asuna become closer.

for me this anime was not as good once they got to the second half and the alfheim online section of the anime as i thought they could have lengthened the sword art online section and really developed it more and made more of it and could have done without the alfheim online section altogether  but even though the second half of the anime is not as good this is still a good anime and will definitely have you hooked within the first couple of episodes. 

overall this is a good anime but could have been better so i would rate this at 84/100.

devil survivor 2 the animation review

devil survivor 2 is a pretty good anime.it is about these monsters called Septentriones basically attacking the world and one of them appears every day for 7 days and humans have to beat them. the humans in this anime are given the demon summoning app which depending on their ability allows them to summon various demons to combat the Septentriones and whoever is still alive at the end gets an audience with Polaris which is a god like entity and they can change the world to how they see fit but if no-one survives then the world will be erased from the universe.

This anime had a great storyline and good animation, it also has likeable characters such as Hibiki. the anime really hooks where you have Yamato sacrificing humans to defeat the Septentriones so that he can completely change the world and you have Hibiki who trying to save as many people as he can so he can make the world go back to how it was and get Polaris to give the world another chance. there are a lot of good action scenes in this anime aswell as dramatic ones. personally i was expecting a lot more from the final episode as i thought the final battle between Hibiki and Yamato would be a lot more intense but it was still a good episode and a good ending.

overall this is a pretty good anime and i would rate this at 78/100.

naruto shippuden episode 319

This was yet another episode that was dominated by flashbacks where there facing a reanimation of someone they know. this time the reanimation was elder Chiyo and she was facing Kankuro. there was barely any action in this episode at all and it was mainly about elder Chiyo recalling her past and regretting that she did not help Sasori and feeling guilty he became so distorted and at the end it was just about how Sasori entrusted his mom and dad puppets to Kankuro and all about there souls in the puppets and stuff.

personally i am getting very bored of these kinds of episodes as that's all that this anime has been doing for a while and this was yet again quite a boring episode.

summer anime 2013 preview.

here are my recommendation for the upcoming anime in summer.

senki zesshou symphogear G

This is the second season of symphogear, the first season of this show was alright but could have been a lot better especially the ending but if you likes the first season then definitely watch this it has good animation and is fun to watch.

Danganronpa the animation

A group of 15 elite high school students are gathered at a very special, high class high school. To graduate from this high school essentially means you’ll succeed in life, but graduating is very difficult. The school is presided over by a bear called Monokuma, and he explains to them that their graduation hinges around committing a murder. The only way to graduate is to kill one of your classmates and get away with it. If the other classmates discover the identity of the killer, the killer is the only one executed. However, if they fail to catch the killer, only the killer graduates and the others are annihilated. Which of the 15 will survive the bloodbath to come?

This anime has a good storyline and could be a very good anime, based on the trailer it does not have the best animation but it is still good i would suggest to watch this anime for a couple of episodes before you judge as it looks like it could be a great mystery anime and really get you hooked.

hakkenden: Touhou Hakken Ibun 2 

This is the second season of hakkenden and i personally loved the first season it had good animation as well as a great storyline and it really got you hooked towards the end. i would definitely watch the second season
as it looks like it could be brilliant.

Kamisama no inai nichiyoubi (the Sunday without god)

God abandoned the world on Sunday. As a result, nobody in the world can die or reproduce. A little girl, Ai, is the gravekeeper for a village. She has prepared 47 graves for the eventual deaths of every member of the village. Later, a boy who identifies himself as "Hampnie Hambart, the 'Man-eating Toy'," which is coincidentally the name that Ai's mother left behind as the name of her father, arrives in the village and slaughters everybody. Just what is going on?

This has a interesting storyline and based on the trailer it has pretty decent animation so worth a watch to see how it develops.
